Terme Cerkno

Cerkno is home to the only Slovenian thermal spa under the Julian Alps as part of Hotel Cerkno, which is actually considered one of the smaller Slovenian thermal spas. Cerkno is located along the famous Idrija fracture, through which, as measurement show, powerful healing energies permeate. As early as prehistoric times, humans already knew about these energies and used for healing. The thermal water is rich in minerals and has a beneficial effect on the human body. The thermal water is pumped from a bore-hole at a depth of 2,000 metres in the immediate vicinity of the hotel complex.
