Inn Gostilna pri Škafarju

Inn Gostilna pri Škafarju with 20 years of tradition located in the centre of Idrija. You will find us in the street between Mestni trg (square) and the square St. Ahacij.

In addition to a la carte dishes, warm light meals/snacks and wood­fired oven pizzas, we offer you also speciality from Idrija. Idrija Žlikrofi are famous at most, always fresh, handmade and made after local recipe. In summer we prepare you after previous order also "smukavc" and "želševka". As an aperitif we recommend you "geruš".

Gostilna pri Škafarju disposes of 55 indoor and 16 outdoor seating capacity and a separate room for groups. Now we offer also accommodation; we have 4 rooms with different bed capacities (total 10 beds).

The inn is decorated with original illustrations of the historical tale "Ob srebrnem studencu/Near silver spring" of the Slovenian painter Rudi Skočir depicturing the discovery of mercury and the life of the legendary Škafar (bucket maker). The indoor is crowned with a picturesque stained glass window with image of Škafar (bucket maker), the finder of mercury captures.

Monday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday and holidays: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

By prior arrangement for groups of more than 15 persons, also outside working hours.
