Welcome to the world of culinary art of world renowned chef Janez Bratovz. His menu is based on the relationship between the four elements: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire, representing four tastes – sweet, salty, sour, and bitter.

Because of its setting in the centre of Ljubljana, JB Restaurant has its own distinct identity as a Slovenian culinary temple in a famous Secessionist building of the 1920s. The interior is elegant and comfortable.

JB Restaurant is a family owned restaurant; chef’s wife Ema is the manager, his daughter Nina is a sommelier, and his son Tomaz is following his father’s steps of one day becoming the second world renowned chef in the family.

We like to host families; children and their parents they both enjoy a distinct and sophisticated taste of extraordinary plates. We accept reservations for special private occasions, such as birthday celebrations, weddings, PR events and business meetings.

The wine cellar in JB Restaurant in downtown Ljubljana is one of the biggest in Slovenia: you can choose between 375 high quality wines from round the world and Slovenia, between white and red, rose, predicate and sparkling wines. JB Restaurant sommeliers especially suggest renowned high quality Slovene table wines. They're here to help you find the best wine possible for your taste and the dish you order.
